Specimen Preparation
3 mL serum SST or Red Top.
SST Tube - Allow to clot in an upright position for at least 30 min, then centrifuge within 2 hours of collection. Refrigerate. Ship refrigerated.
Red Top tube - Allow sample to clot in an upright position for at least 60 min, then centrifuge and transfer serum to a plastic transport tube within 2 hours of collection. Ship refrigerated.

Room Temp: 1 day Refrig: 1 week Frozen: 2 weeks
