Collect

One 5.0 mL EDTA (Lavender) tube.
5.0 mL whole blood or 3.0 mL minimum.

Unacceptable Conditions

The specimen will be considered unacceptable if it is refrigerated, clotted, hemalyzed, centrifuged, received in the lab over 48 hours from collection.

Storage/Transport Temperature

Ambient.

Stability (from collection to initiation)

Will accept up to within 48 hours if there is a CBC result performed on a specimen collected the same time as the specimen.

Flow Cytometry.
Monday-Friday (Specimens must be received by 1100AM on Friday)
 

Remarks

Provide CBC results performed on a specimen collected the same time as the specimen for the lymph assay.

Notes

Specimen should be received in the lab within 24 hours of collection.  If specimen is greater than 24-48 hours, a CBC result performed on a specimen collected at the same time MUST accompany specimen.
