Collect

  • Collect fresh stool in a sterile container.
  • Following the instructions provided on the occult blood card, apply stool to the card within 30 minutes of collection. 

Patient Preparation

Follow the collection instructions provided in the kit.

Unacceptable Conditions

Specimens contaminated with urine or toilet water.

Storage/Transport Temperature

Stabile 30 minutes in sterile container.  
Stabile 30 days after application to the card.
