If a lesser volume of blood or smaller number of cytobrushes is sent, the laboratory will attempt to perform the test requested.  The laboratory cannot assure either a result and/or the ability to perform repeat testing and/or additional testing if the minimum volumes are not met.

This test is performed on the patient's POST (transplant) sample for SAME SEX donor and host (patient).

Use the FISH : XY (BMT ONC) testing for patients with OPPOSITE SEX donor and host.

Note: Specimens from the bone marrow patient (post-transplant), donor and from the patient pre-transplant are required for performing the engraftment testing.
