Separator tubes. Specimens left to clot at 2-8°C. Specimens exposed to repeated freeze/thaw cycles. Non-frozen specimens.

Storage/Transport Temperature

Store serum sample at -70 °C. Transport on dry ice.

Specimen Preparation

After collection place on ice.  Separate serum from cells ASAP within 2 hours of collection. Transfer 1 ml to aliquot tube.

Stability (from collection to initiation)

Freeze as soon as possible.  Unacceptable after 2 hrs ambient.
