    Note:  If fresh (unpreserved) stool is received, staff should place specimen into the C&S Medium Transport Vial (Cary and Blair Medium, yellow top) within 30 minutes of receipt.
Alternate:
  • Sterile Leak Proof Container, Screw Cap
    Note:  Alternative sample type is only for short sample specimens.

Collect, Preferred Volume

Add stool to the fill line on the C&S Medium Transport Vial (Cary and Blair Medium, Yellow top)
Do not overfill.
