Interpretive Data
The Biofire FilmArray Respiratory Pathogen Panel (RESPP) is a multiplexed molecular test that will qualitatively detect and identify different respiratory pathogens simultaneously. The respiratory viruses detected include adenovirus, coronavirus (229E, OC43, NL63 and HKU1), SARS-CoV-2, Influenza A virus (with subtyping for H1, 2009 H1 and H3), Influenza B virus, human metapneumovirus, parainfluenza virus (1, 2, 3, and 4), human rhinovirus/enterovirus, and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). The bacterial pathogens detected are Bordetella pertussis, Bordetella parapertussis, Chlamydophila pneumoniae, and Mycoplasma pneumoniae.
Please note a molecular test for Influenza A, Influenza B, RSV, and SARS-CoV-2 is available as a separate test code (FABRS, Lab 6420)
