Collect
Clotted blood in gold-top vacutainer (SST Gel), >7 mL.
Additional Requirements
A sensitization history must be supplied which details dates of sensitizing events (transplants, transfusions, and pregnancies).
Unacceptable Conditions
Broken tube, mismatched or missing labels, >72 hours old, insufficient volume, improper fixation, no history provided.
Storage/Transport Temperature
Room temperature. Do not freeze.
Stability (from collection to initiation)
72 hours at room temperature.
Performed
Monday through Friday from 9 A.M. to 5 P.M.
