Minimum volume: 1 mL
 

For additional container information, refer to Urine Collection Tip Sheet.

Unacceptable Conditions

  • Specimen not properly identified
  • Incorrect container
  • Insufficient sample volume
  • Timed urine collection
  • Frozen sample
  • Gray top tube (containing boric acid preservative).

Storage/Transport Temperature

Internal:  Deliver to lab immediately.
Offsite:  Refrigerate specimen f it can not be transported and tested within 2 hours.
