Notes
Adequate fractionation and detection of monoclonal proteins may be unreliable when Total Protein is 8 mg/dL or less.
If multiple UPEP samples from the same patient are received for simultaneous testing, a single informative sample will be tested, and duplicate samples will be cancelled.

Specimen not properly identified; incorrect container; insufficient sample volume.

Internal: Deliver to lab immediately at ambient temperature. Offsite: Transport to laboratory at 2-8 degrees C.
