Specimen Preparation

Mix by inversion. Specimen should be centrifuged within 2 hours of collection, with a minimum of 1.0 mL plasma in primary container. 

Pediatric Collection

Green microtainer (bullet) completely filled
Protect from light during transport, if not utilizing the amber microtainer!

Offsite Collection Instructions

Mix by inversion. Specimen should be centrifuged within 2 hours of collection, with a minimum of 1.0 mL plasma in primary container. Keep container upright after centrifugation, transporting at room temperature.
 

Stability (from collection to initiation)

Room temperature - 24 hours, refrigerated - 7 days, frozen - 6 months
