Invert tube 5-6 times to mix blood. Spin for 10 minutes at 1100-1300 g in a swing bucket unit or 15 minutes in a fixed angle. Refrigerate spun tube within 3 hrs of draw. Remember to properly label tube with patient name, DOB, test and collect date. Iftesting cannot be performed within 24 hours of draw, then serum needs to be frozen.
