Must include BOTH Green Na Heparin AND Lavender and include CBC results if available. Invert blood tubes 8-10 times to mix blood with anticoagulant. Brochoalveolar lavage (BAL) samples are acceptable. Transport BAL ASAP, keep specimen cold during transport. Do not freeze.
