Sample can be from a 24 hour or random urine collection. Refrigerate during 24 hour collection. Catecholamines are not stable above pH of 7.0. SAMPLE MUST BE PH'D BEFORE SENDING TO ARUP.  Please pH all samples prio to alquoting urine sample.  Thoroughly mix the entire 24 hour collection before aliqouting. Transfer 4 mL well mixed 24 hour or random urine to an ARUP standard transport tube. (Min: 2.5 mL) Ship refrigerated. If 24 hour collection, Please enter the start and stop date/time and the total volume in the order comment. Please label with name, DOB, MRN, date and time of collection.
