How to Use This Guide

The following is a list of tests that Memorial Medical Center Laboratory performs or that we send to a designated reference laboratory. Laboratory Medicine is a rapidly changing environment, new tests, new methods, and reference intervals may change as new information increases. The guide contains the following: CPT Codes*, Specimen Transport, Methodology, Collection Information.                                           
*CPT codes are for informational use only. The codes reflect our procedures,methodologies and interpretation of CPT coding requirements. Please direct any questions regarding CPT coding to the payer being billed.

Important Information (Referred Testing):

   
When ordering Referred Testing specimens (GENSENDS, ARUP or other reference laboratory tests); Please be aware of the stability window of these specimens (24 hours, 48 hours, etc.).  Specimens need to be received at Main Lab daily by 3:00pm (Monday through Friday; excluding weekends and holidays) to be shipped out the same day.  Stability information can be found under the ‘Collections’ tab.
