Any sample that is not separated within 24 hours of collection and/or grossly hemolyzed specimen will not be accepted.
Storage/Transport Temperature
Sample should be transported to the Metabolic lab at room temperature.
If collection occurs at an offsite location and cannot be delivered to the Metabolic Lab within 24 hours, plasma should be separated and frozen for delivery to the Metabolic Lab.
