Specimen Preparation

Do not freeze. Transport 3 mL whole blood. (Min: 1.5 mL ; Min: 0.5 mL pediatric collection tubes).

Unacceptable Conditions

Clotted, frozen, or hemolyzed specimens.
The green sodium heparin and light green (mint) plasma separator tubes are not acceptable tube types for this assay. If your department needs tubes ordered, please reach out to our logistics department at 212-746-0670.
