Fresh stool: Transport unpreserved specimen to lab within 1 hour of collection Preserve stool: Add stool to fill line of ETM or C+S Medium. Transport as soon as possible.
Unacceptable Conditions
Frozen specimens, leaking containers, dry swabs, or hard formed stool.
Storage/Transport Temperature
Please store at room temperature and transport to lab as soon as possible.

Unpreserved: 30 minutes at room temperature if liquid. 1 hour at room temperature if soft, formed.
