Alternate Sources (Nasal swab, bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL), bronchial wash, or tracheal aspirate in a sterile container) are sent to University Hospital Aurora Micro. Write source on container. Order in Epic as Respiratory Viral Panel by PCR Alternative Sources, LAB1989.

Test will report the following targets:

Adenovirus, Coronavirus 229E, Coronavirus HKU1, Coronavirus NL63, Coronavirus OC43, SARS-COV-2, Human Metapneumovirus, Rhinovirus/Enterovirus, Influenza A, Influenza A H1 2009, Influenza A H1, Influenza A H3, Influenza B, Parainfluenza 1,2,3, and 4, Respiratory Syncytial Virus, Bordetella pararapertussis, Bordetella pertussis, Chlamydophila pneumoniae, Mycoplasma pneumoniae.

Performed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Results are typically reported within 3 hours after receipt in the respective testing department.
