Specimen Preparation

Allow serum samples to clot at room temperature for a minimum of 20 minutes. Separate serum from cells ASAP or within 2 hours of collection. 0.5 mL of serum is required for testing. (Min: 0.5 mL)

Unacceptable Conditions

Plasma or other body fluids. Contaminated, hemolyzed, grossly icteric, or grossly lipemic specimens.
